K. Ross Toole Village | University of Montana Family Housing

Project Square Footage: 95,900 sf (Phase 1), 33,200 sf (Phase 2), 12,100 sf (Phase 3)

Constructed in three phases, this project added 184 family housing units to The University of Montana family housing complex.

The units varied from studio efficiency units to three bedroom family units. The structures were arranged to enclose common exterior space for private play areas. Pedestrian circulation was emphasized throughout the complex.

In addition, buildings were arranged to maintain the majority of the mature vegetation on the site. This project earned a 1997 Missoula Historic Preservation award for new design in a historic neighborhood.
